These parents will produce *CAVAPOOS* that will be approx. 25% Cavalier / 25% Tibetan Spaniel / 50% Poodle based on parents. Puppies from these parents will genetically be a combined mix between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Tibetan Spaniel blended with the Poodle for better health diversity. The Tibetan is known for living 13-16 years of age and they share a similar lineage to the Cavalier with both being bred solely as companion spaniels and not used for hunting! This will be Tanny's first litter, and she will be paired with Monty for puppies that we anticipate will mature to be in the estimated range of 12 to 16 lbs.

2 week old puppy update:
We are absolutely thrilled to share this latest two-week update for Tanny and Monty’s beautiful puppies! We are already witnessing some of the most magical milestones in their early development.
We also have such exciting news regarding their progress. This past weekend, their tiny eyes and ears began to open! We are especially proud that their eyes opened on day 12. While this is certainly within the normal range, we have found that puppies who open their eyes earlier often develop faster and have more confidence as they pass each milestone because, with how quickly puppies mature, an extra day or two can make a huge difference in how they see the world—literally! Watching them take in the beautiful colours and sounds of the world around them for the very first time is an experience that never loses its wonder, even after eighteen years of raising puppies. They are officially transitioning from relying entirely on scent and touch to actually seeing the loving faces of our family and hearing our gentle voices. Their little reactions to sudden sounds and the soft, curious blinks as their bright eyes adjust to the light are incredibly heartwarming to witness.
With their newly awakened senses, the puppies are becoming significantly more active and engaged. They are starting to push themselves up on their sturdy little legs, testing out their wobbly, endearing walks across the whelping box, and showing the very beginnings of their sweet and unique personalities.
Beyond just their health protocols, we have been focusing on their early grooming habits. We have started wiping them down with puppy wipes and giving them gentle brushings, which helps them become accustomed to handling and keeps them feeling fresh. This also includes our routine nail trims. At two weeks old, those tiny little nails start to grow surprisingly sharp, and keeping them neatly clipped is an absolute measure we take for the health and comfort of Tanny, ensuring her delicate skin is protected while they enthusiastically nurse.
We have been tracking their weights, and they are gaining beautifully! Here are their current two-week individual photos and this week's weights:
This dedication to their early health leads right into another major milestone, as we have officially started our strict deworming protocol. The puppies are now on a bi-weekly worming schedule. Deworming is a fundamentally important part of their overall health care because puppies are incredibly susceptible to intestinal parasites early in life. By adhering to a strict deworming routine, we ensure their delicate digestive tracts remain clear, which allows them to properly absorb the essential nutrients from Tanny's milk, preventing health issues like anemia and promoting strong, robust physical development.
As they continue to thrive, we are also seeing their sweet little pigments start to fill in, with their tiny noses darkening up beautifully. They are nursing like absolute champions, spending most of their time in that adorable, milk-drunk state with wonderfully plump bellies.
To support this physical progress and keep Tanny in peak condition, we are ensuring she gets extra nourishment. She is thoroughly enjoying her increased meals of high-quality, Canadian-made raw food, which gives her all the natural, organic energy she needs to be such a fantastic, attentive mother. Despite these exciting new active milestones, the puppies still spend the vast majority of their day soundly sleeping to fuel all of this development. Every single day brings a thrilling new discovery, and we are completely captivated by their daily progress.
We will continue to keep a close watch on their steady development and share more exciting updates as they discover their little voices and start exploring their surroundings with even more confidence! Welcome to the World: Tanny’s Magnificent New Arrivals!
We are absolutely thrilled and overjoyed to share the wonderful news of the arrival of Tanny’s beautiful new litter! On the evening of June 23rd, between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:24 pm, our home was filled with the quiet magic of new life. The entire birthing process went exceptionally well and Tanny handled the whelping like an absolute champion, transitioning effortlessly into motherhood with a calm and confident grace.
From the very first moment each puppy arrived, Tanny has proven herself to be an exceptional mother, displaying the most beautiful, deeply ingrained maternal instincts to care for her babies. She is incredibly attentive, keeping them clean, warm, and secure. Her puppies are remarkably strong, vigorous, and active. They have already mastered the art of nursing, latching on beautifully from the start, and they are thriving, satisfied, and gaining weight daily under her dedicated care.
This gorgeous litter is made up of two handsome boys and four beautiful girls, and they are already turning heads with their extraordinary features. To help you identify everyone in our group shots, in all the photos where the puppies' faces are facing the camera in a row, the two boys are positioned right in the center with two girls on each side in the galleries below:
Every single one of these babies possesses the softest, silkiest fur imaginable. Most surprisingly, their gorgeous curls are already clearly visible! It is quite uncommon to see this distinct texture immediately at birth, as the vast majority of puppies are born with straight coats that only begin to wave and curl as they grow. Seeing such prominent, beautiful waves right now is a rare and exciting trait that always signifies superior coat quality, and we could not be more ecstatic about how their coats will develop.
In addition to their incredible coats, all of the puppies boast truly stunning facial markings that give them the most expressive little expressions. Looking closely at their coat patterns, a few of the puppies also feature small, lighter dots across their backs. These subtle markings are just the beginning of a wonderful transformation, as parti-coloured puppies are notorious for gaining more defined "spots" and ticking as they mature. It will be an absolute joy to watch these unique patterns emerge and deepen over the coming weeks.
Right now, these sweet babies are living in a quiet, instinctual world. Like all canine newborns, they are born completely blind and deaf, with their eyes and ears tightly closed to allow for continued development outside the womb. During these precious early weeks, their world is defined entirely by their senses of touch and smell, alongside their absolute reliance on their mother. Guided by warmth and pheromones, they navigate toward Tanny, whose dedication provides everything they need to grow strong.
Because newborn puppies are completely unable to regulate their own body temperatures for the first few weeks of life, our nursery is maintained as a strictly monitored, perfectly warmed sanctuary. Tanny has a cozy, custom-designed whelping area equipped with protective safety rails, though her beautiful, hyper-aware instincts mean she is already perfectly mindful of exactly where each tiny body is positioned at all times. We keep the environment incredibly peaceful, with soft lighting and zero outside disruptions, ensuring Tanny feels completely safe to rest deeply and dedicate every ounce of her energy to producing rich, nourishing milk for her fast-growing babies.
In just a few days, when these sweet babies reach three days old, we will begin their Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) protocols. This specialized, scientifically-backed program involves a series of gentle, daily exercises designed to stimulate their developing neurological systems during a crucial window of rapid growth. Over our eighteen years of dedicated breeding experience, we have seen firsthand how ENS significantly enhances cardiovascular performance, strengthens heartbeats, builds a more robust immune system, and creates a much greater tolerance to stress as they mature. Alongside these exercises, introducing a unique, natural scent each day will jumpstart their olfactory pathways long before their eyes and ears even open, laying the early foundation for exceptionally confident, stable, and highly intelligent companion dogs.
While these six little blessings are perfectly content sleeping, cuddling, and nursing right now, this quiet "sleeping" phase is just the beautiful beginning of their journey. Around ten to fourteen days from now, we will witness one of the most magical transformations of the neonatal period as their tiny eyelids and ear canals slowly begin to unseal. This will mark their transition into a whole new world of sight, sound, and purposeful movement. For now, we are fully soaking in the sweetness of this peaceful first week, tracking their exact progress on our gram scale around the clock, and watching them bloom with every passing hour.
