Our breeding dogs and puppies are currently eating Woodland Raw Pet Food as their primary food and we have found it to be of superior quality over many other raw brands! It can be purchased directly from Woodland Raw Pet Food or from one of their distributors like Pampered Pawz. The variety of meat and organ blends are perfect for diet rotation, and bone ratio within the mixes provides a species appropriate diet. Woodland Raw Pet Food also has a variety of raw and dehydrated treats, as well as supplements for your dog's overall care.
All of our studs and pregnant females get a "super beefed up meal" while they are producing or pregnant/nursing. They will have extra meat and egg for protein, and especially for our females, they will have cottage cheese (for calcium) in addition to the added meat and egg. It is very important to us to maintain our dogs so that they are in perfect health!
Proper nutrition is very important for breeding dogs as it is physically demanding on a female dog to give birth and care for a litter of puppies! Quite often a female dog will shed out around 40% to 60% of her fur while she is nursing, and she may also lose a fair bit of weight. Those are the outward demands that we can see, but essentially she gives her puppies everything she has in her body by way of nutrients, and even the calcium from her bones! This is why we rarely, unless under veterinarian advisement breed back-to-back heat cycles so that our females can have time to rejuvenate between litters, and we also feed extra foods that are rich in vitamins to help replenish the essentials that the mother needs to be strong and healthy for herself and her puppies.

It is likewise important for a growing puppy to have adequate nutrition and we have selected a puppy formula that allows for proper nutrition to be absorbed and for our puppies to maintain excellent health.
Our PUPPIES are eating a RAW DIET when they go HOME!
FROZEN RAW MEAT will be the FOOD that comes in your PUPPY KIT!
