Pringle is a minimally spotted Blenheim English Cockalier which is a cross between an English Cocker Spaniel and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, but his genetics lean more towards the Cavalier with just enough English Cocker for a genetic break or buffer to provide good health in the lineage. Pringle is a part of our plan for maintaining the health diversity in the Cavapoo. Pringle's devotion and loving spirit is in line with his mostly Cavalier heritage, and the English Cocker merely adds genetic health diversity that we are committed to raising here at Pleasant Meadows. And we want to emphasis and point out the distinction between the *English* Cocker Spaniel vs the American Cocker Spaniel -- the English Cocker Spaniel is the "original" Cocker Spaniel and all of the American lines diverged from the English version. The English Cocker Spaniel is healthier, has better structure, and is primarily used as a working dog which bodes for better "stock" because their ancestors have been bred for a purpose such as their trainability, stamina, and health is very much tied their ability to work. This is why we only use the English Cocker Spaniel in our journey to contribute to the world effort to restore the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to it's former healthy state.
We purchased Pringle as a puppy from a breeder in Southern Ontario.
Both his parents come from pure and healthy lines.
Pringle's heart health will be verified via an ECG machine prior to breeding.

The heterozygosity test is SO IMORTANT for any Cavalier mix and breeding should only take place when a dog is at the high end of the typical range for their particular mix to maintain overall diversity and health!
Pringle is CLEAR for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & English Cocker Spaniel Breed Profiles (diseases commonly carried by the breeds) and has also been health screened and is CLEAR for a total of 282 other testable diseases that are uncommon (but not impossible) for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & the English Cocker Spaniel, but are commonly found in other breeds.

Pringle will also be DNA tested through Wisdom Panel to establish that she has good genetic diversity for the English Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix, as well as, GENETIC HEALTH TESTED through Wisdom Panel for a total of 267 diseases and traits which covers all bases and uses another testing laboratory to cross-confirm the health and the healthy genes passed down through Pringle's parents.
