Puppy Application Form
In order to be placed on one of our Waiting Lists for one of our upcoming litters, or if you would like to inquire about an available puppy -- we will need to know more about you and the home that you will provide for one of our puppies. We ask that you please take the time to adequately and honestly fill out the PUPPY APPLICATION form below and disclose as much information about your home as possible. The answers that you provide in the application form give us our first impression of you and we will make a determination of your suitability based on the information that you provide.
We will review your application to establish whether or not the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Miniature Poodle, or Cavapoo is a good match for you! And if your application is approved we will help you determine an appropriate waiting list for you based on your preferences.
Please note that filling out the PUPPY APPLICATION does not guarantee you a position on one of our waiting lists. We must approve your application before your name will be added to a waiting list and we not obligated to give a reason for refusal!
The questions in our PUPPY APPLICATION are asked for the sole purpose of helping us ensure good forever homes for our puppies. They are not meant to be intrusive in any way.
We ask that everyone thoroughly reads the information on our website prior to filling out the PUPPY APPLICATION. We do not want applications filled out on impulse! The information on our website is there to enable potential families to make an informed decision and to get to know how we raise our puppies and the process of getting on a list and selecting a puppy. We realize that there is a lot of information to read, but it is important and all laid out for you to make it as easy as possible. Thank you!
Please do NOT fill out the puppy application if you have NOT read the following pages:
Learn about us as a breeder! Where your puppy comes from is important!
Find out how much a puppy costs and all payment details!
Our puppies are guaranteed for 2 years for any life threatening defects!
Look at our waiting lists for any openings and for an accurate wait time!
Read our procedures that make choosing a puppy fair for everyone!
See when visitation is allowed and see our guidelines for puppy safety!
Check out details on generation types, size, temperament, and health.

To apply for a puppy we require that you are a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 68 years. The reason for this restriction is because we want applicants to be old enough to have a committed level of responsibility and financial means to care for a dog and because the Cavapoo can live 12 to 14 plus years this means that a senior would be caring for a dog at 80 to 82 plus years of age if that person applied at 68 years of age. We firmly believe that dogs are good for the soul at any age, but an older dog in need of a home would be a better option for seniors past the age of 68 rather than starting fresh with a puppy. This is not meant to offend anyone, it's simply a matter of being responsible for our puppies!
Our puppies are for sale within Canada only, with the sole exclusion of Quebec!
Unfortunately, due to the mass population of puppy mills in Quebec, we will not sell to anyone living in Quebec! No exceptions! We apologize in advance that this rule will exclude many "average families", but we cannot risk the lives of our puppies! Too many "breeders" are filling out the puppy application while posing as "pet homes" in attempts to get one of our puppies, and we're tired of trying to figure out who is telling the truth about being a pet home and who has other intentions. It's terrible that a province needs to be entirely excluded, but through experience we have found that these measures are necessary to keep our puppies safe!
Note from Pleasant Meadows: Starting in 2022 we are beginning our transition over to the Springerdoodle and Brittanydoodle and by 2023 we will have limited Cavapoo litters. We are making this transition as we no longer believe that the Cavapoo is safe to breed because of the declining health of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as an overall breed. We have been raising the Cavapoo for 12 years and have dedicated ourselves to the health of the breed, but it is not possible to find *NEW* healthy Cavalier lines to replace our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as they retire. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is NOT healthy and we will not continue breeding them BEYOND OUR REMAINING DOGS that we KNOW ARE HEALTHY because they have up to 4 generations of HEALTH CLEARED dogs behind them. Our Multigen Cavapoo stud, Arlo, and his daughters Celina and Atira, and our other Cavapoos are health cleared for over 250 diseases or cleared by parentage. The Cavalier and the Cavapoo have become "too popular" and OTHER breeders are no longer breeding for health but instead for GREED! We are moving away from the Cavalier and the Cavapoo to the Springerdoodle and the Brittanydoodle so that we can continue to provide healthy companions for families, and we will also have some litters of purebred English Springer Spaniels and Standard Poodles. We encourage everyone to consider a healthier alternative with the Springerdoodle and Brittanydoodle since they have similar temperaments to the Cavapoo. And for anyone considering the Cavapoo from OTHER breeders/sources to really question the health of the breed. We had truly intended to breed the Cavapoo "forever" since we pride ourselves in having a solid reputation for healthy puppies with excellent temperaments, but we are blowing the whistle that the Cavapoo is becoming increasingly ill because OTHER breeders are not health screening their Cavaliers and Cavapoos.
During our transition over to the Brittanydoodle and Springerdoodle you will see only the types of Cavapoos that we will have to offer over the next 2 years based on the healthy dogs we have left to breed. And you will see more size options for puppies.
We researched for 5 years as we saw the health declining in the Cavalier to be able to find another suitable mix to raise. What we saw in the Brittany and Springer Spaniel caught our attention and this transition over to new breeds has not been taken lightly. Our dedication to raising healthy and well socialized puppies remains the same, and we are confident that you too will fall in love with the Brittanydoodle and Springerdoodle as we have done!

"When you bring a dog into your life, don't just think of what you want from him.
Think first of what you need to give this dog to make him happy under your roof.
Start by thinking of your dog as an animal, then as a dog, then as a breed,
then as a name, and fulfill your dog's needs in that order. In my experience,
once you have fulfilled these needs of your dog, he will automatically
want to fulfill your needs in return."
